I NEVER THOUGHT THIS COULD HAPPEN TO ME.......

There he was......laying there wrapped up like a meal for the taking.......At first I walked by, sipping my coffee and avoided the whole facade of it all. I didn't want to go there. Me? I'd never done this before.......it wasn't like I had it in me to stoop to these inner feelings that I know others have had. Yet, something was telling me that today was going to be a whole new day; an awakening. I sipped on my coffee and thought of things that needed to be done; domestic duties that the female persuasion is accustomed to obliging of the rule.......maybe some laundry......or even baking something.....(laugh) that wasn't really me at all. Oh....there again.....he kept peering at me......The one eye.....do I act? Do I go for it? And then like a devastating blow, I found myself enthralled in all the wonder of it all; I was lost in this glory land and ambrosia of what I had been thrown into and like an incubator for what might have seemed like a minute in time and now it had came and I swallowed it up; whole.....and then again....it happened again......like a repetitive doll, I was under the influence and repeated the act to fulfillment! Alas! Alas!!! A new beginning!! It has been awakened in me!!!! There ain't nothing like a warmed up "Pig In the Blanket" People~~I can't believe I just ate TWO of them dang things!!!! Thas some good shizzzzzz!!!!!!!!!! Gets U SUM!!!!!!!!

1 hot dog

1 slice of bread

1 slice of American cheese

butter

(slap some of that butter on both sides of that bread and then slap that slice of cheese on that piece of bread...then wrap that little doggie round that bread and you can even punch some toothpicks in there to hold the bread on there if you got a big dog!) Put them puppies in the oven and bake 'em for about 30 minutes on 325 degrees and you got you a delicacy!!! Shoot.....then the next day you can warm 'em up in the microwave just like I just did and have you a RE-treat!!!!!! Good stuff!

BREAKING NEWS: IT'S SQUARE ROOT DAY!!!!

O.K......you say this is your coming out of sabbatical posting??? Well, it's an important event!!! How many times in our life time will see a day like today 03-03-09 ........3 is the square root of 9 people!!!!! This lovely event only happens evidently only three times in a century! So we all should REJOICE!!!! WE ALL SHOULD PULL OUT OUR CALCULATORS ( or as the newbies do, pull out your I-PHONES) and pull up that Square Root Sign and Bask in its Beauty!!!! Remember, the beauty is in the EYE of the Beholder......or rather, the square root of whatever.....(I couldn't do math for crap in school! Intermediate this.......Algebra A and then Algebra B.....General Mathematics in college (barely passed)........I'm a loser........But I just thought I would pretend for a day that I was a MATH GEEK!!!!

A LETTER TO ALL FROM SALLY: In Search of One's Self....

I know you all have been wondering what I have been doing, as of late. I am in the process of taking a sabbatical from the blog world to enlighten and enrich my mind. Due to Jonah's departure, I have had a terrible time adjusting to every day life; and therefore, I have entered into a period of self therapy and healing.........Jonah was such an inspiration to me in ways I can't fully understand, nor comprehend; however, Virgil does lead me and for now I must linger in the wraths of purgatory and find myself again........the loss is deep and the wounds are excruciating........my tears can not swell no more.......but I feel as though, someday, (in the near future) I will be able to find the true meaning of his demise from the blog world and be able to regain my sense of being........but until then, peace be with you........

I know ya'll have missed me........I've been in seclusion: for you see, it's been a long and lustful, drawn out, continuous New Year's Party......and quite frankly, I'm sick of it! I've hid myself from the T.V......Radio......and news media and what so ever, just to get away from the CRACK HEADS of all the B.S. that we (and yes, I admit it: WE) prey upon to find something to blog about.......I'm worn out......but yet feel a sense of a new beginning in this year of '09! The only thing I did sneak a peak at was the Cotton Bowl the other day........and it was just for about 30 minutes right at the end.....and it was just as well because something started rumbling in my stomach and I thought I was going to throw up when I saw Houston Nutt being interviewed after the game in the "Winner's Ring" (if you will; that's so......I don't know how to put it.....) anyway, up on that pedestal.....uh oh......there again.....just don't make sense to say pedestal and Houston Nutt in the same sentence! See.....I can't stay focused when it comes to him: anyway did anyone see the look in his eye when the blond sports announcer was asking him those questions????? Did ya see it....the little twinkle.......I know what he was thinking ........


"God, I want to TEXT YOU!!!!!!" He had that come hither look and I know he was caressing his buttons on his phone in his pocket!!! What's strange is I was walking through a casino after that and a lady from Kentucky was beside me and made mention about how we "shouldn't have let Nutt Go!".........I paused and at first was thinking, "why in the heck does she care....she's from Kentucky!" and then she goes on to say how Petrino is an "Asshole"! I just said, "Honey....they're all assholes........but ya got to remember; I'd rather have an asshole that sticks to just the players and the game than an asshole that likes to play the game and think about the plays later...........!" She was blond (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I don't really think she got what I was saying.........she might eventually.

EVEN THE CHRISTMAS DECOR WANT IT TO BE OVER!

It's been a long and drawn out Christmas season........remember, if you will.....the merchants started decorating the isles way before Halloween was even over with! Bloomberg.com reported that U.S. retailers’ sales declined last week, the most in almost six years as, steeper markdowns before and after Christmas failed to salvage what may be the worst holiday shopping season in four decades. In the report, it states that some retailer's had to slash prices as high as 70% to try and regain what was left. But you know.....this kind of makes me think back to the pre-Halloween display of Christmas "thrown upon us" and as I've heard time and time again; "Thanksgiving is getting lost in the mix of the holidays!" And it's true......I've always been one of those shoppers that tries and get the majority of my shopping done pre-Thanksgiving or at LEAST by December 1st. It's just been a little challenge of mine that I've had embedded in my brain ever since I've had to go out into the gambit of the monotony of the shopping craze.......and for the record-I'M NOT A SHOPPER! HATE IT WITH A PASSION! If I have to buy something or need something....I go in and get it.....if I can't find it.......I don't need it........improvise! I've walked in to a building supply house before and lit up a whole NEW house in a matter of 30 minutes by just having a list. First decisions are the best decisions, in my book and why shop, shop, shop until you drop?! Ain't got it in me and I ain't got the time for it.....got better things to do with my time! But back to the economic downfall of the retailers---so with everything being displayed early at full price, it kind of hacks me off that me, the introverted shopper that hates crowds, has to pay full price for the crap, that now, I can get at the same price at 70% off! But, such as life.......and with that, I've posted the only picture that I thought suitable for this whole situation! You can come to your own determination on how you would pen it........but me, I'm thinking.........screw em' all! Peace Out!

Tom Waits: SILENT NIGHT.....CHRISTMAS CARD FOR ALL......

After all these years........I just had about forgotten about ol' Tom. You see him a lot in old movies starting in the 70's with cameo appearances or bit parts (The Cotton Club, Ironweed, The Two Jakes, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and as of next year '09, will be playing the devil in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.....the guy has gotten around....not to mention ALL of the soundtracks he contributed and composed to many, many films that I can't even name!) and is still here today.......So with it being the 'Reason for the Season', and all of that fun and furry, I thought I'd post a little Tom Waits for all to spread around.......and if, like me, you need reminded of Tom's major and phenomenal artistic endeavors from past to present, go to Tom Waits' Library at: http://www.tomwaitslibrary.com/ quite interesting...... and it reminds us of what was......is.......and needs to be revisited.............Peace Out!

TO SUZY: A LITTLE JIMMY BUFFET FOR YA!

I was serenaded the other night by a couple of people and it was quite amazing......I've really never been a big "BUFFET" fan; yet......he's growing on me! But when, in my drunken stupor, I heard this one (and I was being, as I said, serenaded by my friend Suzy), it was quite remarkable! I had no idea that Jimmy had this type of talent in him.....I'm used to his usual Tequila thrillers and sandy beach hymns.....but the "Pencil Thin Mustache", I liked! Suzy got her groove on and was belting it to the hills and I was quite intrigued with the show! Needless to say, our men in tow were not as impressed with our belligerent crazed actions; but we were feeling the "BUFFINATOR"!!!! And for the regulars Buffet Lovers, I'll put up the Classic "Come Monday" with Jimmy explaining this video himself! I'm gonna get me some Bailey's and Java now and sit back and do a little Bama Breeze Dream'n! Peace Out!!!!!

BUSH: FLYING THREW THE AIR LIKE A SHOE......

I was amazed at how his reflexes were so fast! I never knew he was that agile! But then again, he has the been 'shuck'n and jive'n' for eight long years and I guess he has the move down to a science. And as Bush mentioned, he wasn't 'insulted' by the throw; it was a sign of the Iraqi's 'GROWING FREEDOM'.....he wasn't insulted....as he shouldn't be.......I'm amazed that a U.S. citizen at 'one of those political rallies' that he mentioned, hasn't thrown a couple of size 10s or 12s at him all ready thru out the years......



Now on to U.S. news: Illinois Governor given 6 Days to resign!


You talk about a "NO BRAINER!!!!".....Carol Marin of the Chicago Sun Times reports on Will Blagojevich's of his 'hanger on' problems and why he won't give up? Well, my take on this guy is the fact that he's a freak'n, bloom'n idiot! And who in the heck put this guy in a legislative capacity and if he did pull the wool over everyone's eyes in the beginning (which is evident that HE DID!), then why in the heck is he still in there??? I don't get it.......Jim Guy Tucker didn't get off this easy.......Poor Billy Clinton couldn't even have a little 'cigar fun' and 'Devil in Blue Dress' fun without get'n raked over the coals; but this guy makes Jim and Billy look like SAINTS! Here's what I think.......I think he's got a little black book........I think he's taken names and he's gonna blackmail someone if that 'SOMEONE' doesn't bail his ass out soon and he IS meaning really SOON!!! I really think that's what he is bank'n on.......this guy is straight out of one of those old Mafia, Crime movies where he's holding the bag and he's waiting on the big man's phone call to bail him out........But what's really sad here is that the ol' Blagojevich, Wise Guy, has been basically hung out to dry by all the BIG DOG cronies and he's not smart enough to figure it out! The Brotherhood HAS TURNED THEIR BACKS ON YA MAN!!!! YOUR DEAD TO THEM........that's just my take......then again, I could be watch'n too much Showtime because ya'll all know that's my fav channel! Especially with a little java and Bailey's and a big ol' cigar............
